Vines of Red Hill is one of those beautiful country restaurants that reveals itself just a little bit at a time. Invisible from Red Hill Road, it sits down from the brow of the hill, shaded by established trees and reached by a path that winds its way through lavishly planted gardens.

The natural amphitheatre of the land has enabled Vines of Red Hill to create its own private and intimate environment, with the restaurant and cellar door housed in a contemporary Mediterranean-inspired building that looks out over 20 acres of gently sloping rural land and vineyards.

The cosy cellar door, where flights of estate-produced wines are available by the glass, provides the perfect prelude to a leisurely lunch or dinner enjoyed in the restaurant or on the terrace bordered by gardens.

The 80-seat restaurant has an air of spaciousness and elegant simplicity, with white walls featuring selected works of Mornington Peninsula art, white clothed tables and a large expanse of windows which capture artful snapshots of vines and gardens.

Vines of Red Hill is open for lunch Thursday – Monday and for dinner Friday and Saturday. It is available for weddings celebrated in the garden, vineyard or lakeside, and can accommodate up to 120 guests for cocktails and corporate events which utilise the restaurant and adjoining terrace.
