Vines of Red Hill, on the Mornington Peninsula is a beautiful country restaurant that reveals itself a little at a time.
Invisible from Red Hill road, it sits down from the brow of the hill, shaded by ancient Angophora trees; it is reached by a path that winds its way through lavishly planted gardens.
The restaurant has an air of spaciousness and elegant simplicity featuring the selected works of local artists. Large expansive windows open onto a north-facing dinning terrace which captures artful snapshots of vines and gardens. During the cooler months an open log fire sets the mood.
For a special occasion a corner window table can be reserved for 2 or 12 guests. For a small group or intimate dinner party dine on one of our personlised menus..
Chef owner, James Redfern’s firm and passionate belief that regions need to promote and retain their unique individuality is what drives his cuisine.
All of his ingredients are sourced or especially grown from the growing community of local artisan producers. Farm house cheese, berries, fruit and vegetables to sparkling fresh wild fish from the local bays are some of the local gems that feature regularly in his menu creations.
